Tottenham Hotspur’s chief football officer Scott Munn has provided an insight on what it’s actually like working under Daniel Levy.

This comes on the back of the news Spurs would be playing a post-season friendly in Melbourne, Australia just days after the season finishes.

Munn is currently in Ange Postecoglou’s hometown and has been speaking to the media about his life at Tottenham.

What has Scott Munn said about Daniel Levy?

Munn was appointed back in April last year and he has since overseen quite a transformation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Under Daniel Levy’s watch, Spurs have brought in Postecoglou, numerous new players and seen the club’s record goalscorer Harry Kane leave for Bayern Munich.

Munn only started his role at Spurs in September, though, but he did oversee the appointment of Fabio Paratici’s replacement, John Lange.

Speaking to the media following the announcement of the friendly against Newcastle United, Munn spoke about life under Levy: “Daniel is incredibly invested in the club, personally and professionally, and I don’t think one person has a great single focus on success for the club than him and I feel absolutely privileged to work with him and the support he gives to me and the entire football team is unconditional. I just hope we’re able to repay the faith he’s put in us,” he said.

When and where will Spurs play Newcastle?

Tottenham will be taking on Eddie Howe’s Magpies just three days after the final game of the Premier League season.

Spurs will end their campaign with an away game against Sheffield United on Sunday 19 May, they will then face Newcastle just three days later.

Playing at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, Spurs will play against the Toon on Wednesday 22 May with a local kick-off time of 7:45pm.

To put that into perspective, that would be a morning kick-off British time.

The fixture has already been slammed by former manager Martin O’Neill who has questioned the need for it.

It has to be questioned whether all of the players will be involved in this game with the Euros coming up in the summer.

The competition begins on 14 June which will not provide the players with an awful lot of down time before heading off on national duty.

It probably isn’t too hard to imagine what the players think about this fixture, especially after a season which has been filled with injury issues.

It will even surely fill Postecoglou with mixed emotions.
