Rio Ferdinand has admitted he’s unsure how Ange Postecoglou scooped the Manager of the Year prize at the London Football Awards.
The Tottenham manager was honoured with the award at last week’s ceremony as he pipped both Mikel Arteta and David Moyes to the prize.
It comes as Ange Postecoglou has led Spurs to fifth place in the Premier League, with the Aussie hoping to deliver a top-four finish in his debut season.
But Postecoglou scooping the award has led to confusion on Ferdinand’s part, with the Manchester United legend suggesting the Spurs boss will have already sent it to West Ham’s Moyes.

Ferdinand confused by Postecoglou scooping award
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand suggested he is unsure why Postecoglou picked up the award over Moyes, who delivered a Europa Conference League title at West Ham.
“Yeah, I don’t know [how he won it],” he said.
Ferdinand then added that it was a ‘great shout’ when Moyes was labelled the worthy winner.
“I reckon Ange has sent it to David Moyes, because that’s the type of guy he is,” the United legend went on.

In all fairness, even Postecoglou was taken aback after winning the prize last week.
After scooping the award, he said: “Yeah, it’s a little bit bizarre obviously.
“I’m honoured but I’ve not really made the impact I want to yet. Obviously, what we’ve done so far as a football club, people have noticed – which is great.
“I think our supporters have enjoyed elements of our football so far and more to come, I guess.” as quoted by The Standard.
With Arsenal currently in the mix for the title and Moyes having delivered European success at West Ham, it was a surprise to see Postecoglou win the prize after a few months on the job.
Nevertheless, that shouldn’t take away from the brilliant job the Aussie has done at Hotspur Way.
It’s easy to forget the mess he inherited over the summer and losing the club’s all-time top goalscorer Harry Kane was an early blow.
