Tottenham ace Ben Davies shines for Wales

The player in question is Ben Davies, who helped Wales run out 1-0 winners over Montenegro in Monday night’s Nations League encounter in Cardiff.

The Spurs veteran captained and played the full 90 minutes for Craig Bellamy’s side, weighing in with two tackles and a clearance.

Davies also won three aerial duels and one ground duel, and delivered two accurate long balls, as per Sofascore.

Clwb Peldroed gave Davies a 7 out of 10 rating and wrote: “On his 90th appearance for Wales he was shifted out to full-back in the absence of Connor Roberts.

“He was reliably solid all night with Montenegro having no luck down his side of the field.”

Meanwhile, Wales Online gave the Tottenham ace a 6 out of 10 rating for his efforts on the night.

They wrote: “A few hairy moments where he gave the ball away but on the whole a reassuring presence, as ever, at the back.

“Andrija Radulovic caused him one or two issues after coming on.”
