Tottenham Hotspur have had some stand-out performers so far this season.
The likes of Son Heung-Min, James Maddison, Cristian Romero and co have been phenomenal, which is seriously reflected in Ange Postecoglou‘s and his coaching staff‘s position in the Premier League table.
But one unsung hero this season who’s been putting in the hours at Hotspur Way is Tottenham Hotspur‘s Swedish winger, Dejan Kulusevski.
He’s been fabulous all season and was the hero as Spurs beat Nottingham Forest. A Premier League icon holds him in high regard.
Gary Lineker on Dejan Kulusevski
Gary Lineker, former Premier League goalscoring extraordinaire, spoke highly of the Swedish winger.
Lineker said on The Rest is Football podcast: “Kulusevski has run more than any other player this season.”
He added: “It’s hard to get the ball off him, isn’t it? He is a little bit like Grealish in a way that he is strong and powerful.”
A compliment of the highest regard, being compared to a treble-winning £100m pound man.
We have to agree though. Kulusevski has proven he’s the perfect winger for the Premier League. The 23-year-old pretty much has it all. Pace, dynamism, strength and the ability to finish. He was an inspired pickup.

Postecoglou was almost made to gamble on the 23-year-old. Technically, he was one of his summer signings, with Spurs only securing his services on loan up until the end of last season.
Under new management, it wouldn’t have been out of the question for the Aussie to discard him in favour of someone more suited… but it’s slowly appearing the fact that maybe he was the best option anyway.
Tottenham, and Postecoglou, are extremely lucky to have him in their ranks.
