Tottenham Hotspur academy duo Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore have revealed their footballing idols when growing up and they both named Spurs club legends.

Lankshear and Moore have been making an impact on the first-team this season having had their chance to make their full debuts for the North London club.

Moore in particular has started to work his way into the team having made his first Premier League start against Crystal Palace at the age of just 17.

Lankshear hasn’t quite had the same number of minutes and come January, the young striker could head out on loan in search of game time.

Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear name their Tottenham idols

Moore and Lankshear have named Heung-min Son and Harry Kane respectively as their footballing idols growing up.

The teenage duo will have had the chance to closely follow Son and Kane’s careers whilst in the academy and now, they train and play alongside Sonny on a regular basis.

Moore, who also named Eden Hazard as his other idol, is seen as their eventual heir to the South Korean’s throne at Tottenham with the 17-year-old showing many promising signs.

Meanwhile, Lankshear’s technique has been compared to that of Kane and it’s clear to see how he’s modelled his game off the club’s all-time top scorer.

Other Spurs stars were asked for their footballing heroes with Archie Gray saying Lionel Messi, Richarlison’s being R9, Dominic Solanke naming Didier Drogba, James Maddison claiming David Beckham and Guglielmo Vicario’s obviously being Gianluigi Buffon.

Will Lankshear to head out on loan in January?

With Richarlison and Son back from injury, Lankshear is now the fourth-choice striker at the club and it may be best for him to head out on loan in January.

The 19-year-old had plenty of interest from Championship and foreign clubs over the summer, however, Ange Postecoglou wanted to keep him around, according to the Athletic.

During the next transfer window, Spurs may need to reassess his situation and allow him to head out on loan in search of game time. There seems to be a lot of interest in a short-term deal for Lankshear.
