Lucas Bergvall has revealed that Tottenham training sessions under Roberto De Zerbi have been really enjoyable.

Tottenham players have loved working under De Zerbi so far, but now they must show it when they travel away to Sunderland on Sunday lunchtime.

Speaking ahead of the match and following the first two weeks of the Italian manager’s reign, Bergvall has been discussing the situation in N17.

Lucas Bergvall says he has really enjoyed working under Roberto De Zerbi since his appointment as manager of Tottenham.

De Zerbi has taken a real shine to Bergvall at Tottenham, and the 20-year-old is likely to be a key player under the 46-year-old.

Training at Hotspur Way has been really positive by all accounts, and Bergvall has revealed that the sessions under the Italian have been great.

When asked how De Zerbi has been since joining, Bergvall told SpursOfficial: “Top, really good. Really good with the team around everything.

“It’s been really good, fun session, but a lot of intensity as well and focus around everything; so it’s been really good.”

Cristian Romero has also said similar things about De Zerbi, but it is now time for the players to finally deliver on the pitch.

Tottenham are sitting 18th in the Premier League table following West Ham’s 4-0 win over Wolves, and three points is a must against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

Lucas Bergvall issues Tottenham fitness update

Bergvall has been slowly working his way back to full fitness over the last few weeks, having just returned from an ankle injury.

The midfielder played a key role for Sweden during the interntaional break, and now he is ready to help Spurs remain in the top flight.

“Yeah, I feel good. I feel good to be fair. Obviously, I haven’t played 90 minutes yet, but I think I can do so, so just looking forward to the game on Sunday against Sunderland.”

As mentioned, the young Swede is going to be key for De Zerbi’s team in possession, and they will need him to be ready to start at the Stadium of Light.
