Pundit Frank Lebeouf has been left stunned by what he has now heard about Tottenham Hotspur and their manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Lilywhites have been forced to dwell on their dismal defeat against Fulham with the international break halting Premier League action.

A number of players have been quoted during the international break and playing under Ange Postecoglou has been a hot topic of discussion.

What Frank Lebouf said about Ange Postecoglou

The appointment of the Australian has brought a new lease of life to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after some forgettable years under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

Recently, Dejan Kulusevski has commented on what the 58-year-old has brought to the club since arriving in the summer.

On winning trophies, he said: ‘But we are also a young team with many new players. We’re not gonna win every game. And actually, Ange never speaks about trophies. He says, “Yes, we’ll get there, but first of all we have to become us. We have to find ourselves”.’

And that has sparked some mix reactions from the pundits on ESPN FC with Lebourf suggesting the mood around Hotspur Way almost resembles that of fictional club AFC Richmond.

The Frenchman even likened Postecoglou to the manager of the TV show club, Ted Lasso, he said: “I have a smile on my face when I read that [Kulusevski comments] and when I listen to Postecoglou because it’s like Ted Lasso. We’ve found the new Ted Lasso and the new AFC Richmond club. You know, where everyone is happy, they don’t care about winning trophies, they only want to be happy and win games playing well. It’s only the truth.”

What Kulusevski doesn’t like about Postecoglou

Kulusevski is one of the many Spurs players who are currently spending some time away from Spurs during the international break.

It has been a largely positive season, on the whole, for Spurs with a top four finish still very much a possibility.

However, it has by no means been plain sailing with the Lilywhites enduring their fair share of bumps in the road to this point.

After what was a fairytale start to life in the Premier League for Postecoglou by winning three consecutive Manger of the Month awards, there have been some issues along the way.

And Kulusevski has already revealed how angry the Australian can get at half time when he doesn’t like what he sees on the pitch.

Kulusevski previously said: “He gets angry for sure. There have been a couple of half-times when he thinks we’re not doing enough, playing safe and not pushing enough to win the game and then he lets us hear it.

“He goes really, really mad.”

But perhaps this is what this Spurs side needs from time-to-time. There has been multiple occassions when Spurs have just not got going in the first half.

In fact, Spurs have failed to score in any of their last five Premier League games with 14 of their last 16 goals coming in the second 45.

Spurs are no where near the finished article, but fans will believe that Postecoglou is setting them up for long-term success.
