Les Ferdinand disappointed with Liverpool goal at the weekend

Ferdinand has been talking on TikTok regarding Tottenham’s point against Liverpool.

He feels disappointed that Spurs couldn’t win the game, given how below-par Liverpool were, and he believes their goal was extremely avoidable.

Ferdinand feels Spurs are edging towards safety but believes there is still work to do before things are more comfortable.

He said: “I’ve got to say, we’re not out of the woods yet. We’re creeping towards the edge of it, but we’re not quite out of the woods. But this is what we’ve been talking about all along. Spurs just having a go. That’s all we want to see the team do. Have a go, and that’s what they did tonight, you know what I mean. Got a precious point at Anfield. I know Liverpool haven’t been the greatest at Anfield this season, but to go there in the way that Spurs were, what we needed to do was have a fight.

“Great to see the manager go 4-4-2. Every player on the pitch gave their all. I feel a little bit disappointed because the goal, I think, could have been prevented.

“Liverpool just didn’t have their shooting boots on, but Spurs, again, created the better chances with Richarlison – he should have had a hat-trick today. He got the goal in the end, deservedly so. But, nah, nice to see them get a point away from home. Long may it continue. Let’s hope this is the start of the resurgence. This gets us out of this sticky situation we’re in.”

Tottenham can start to look forward after this weekend

Given how bad Forest have been this season, beating them on home soil at the weekend could have Tottenham looking forward once again.

Tottenham showcased some resolve in the draw at Anfield and with 30 points now on the board, Spurs are creeping slowly towards Premier League survival.

Beating Forest is the only thing that matters going into a three-week break, and the challenge for Spurs is to put all of their focus on that game.

Ferdinand is right with his assessment of Sunday’s game but it does feel as though something might have just clicked for Spurs at the right time.
