Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon was given a difficult evening at Elland Road in Leeds United’s latest game against Leicester City.
It was the battle at the top on Friday night as Leeds welcomed the Championship leaders to Yorkshire where they were able to close the gap to six points after a 3-1 win.
But it was apparent it was not the easiest of games for the Welshman who is spending the campaign on loan under Daniel Farke.

Joe Rodon vs Leicester City
It was always going to be a difficult ask for the 26-year-old when coming up against the Championship leaders in Leicester.
The Foxes have looked destined to make an instant return to the Premier League all season, but their cushion at the top is now slipping.
Leeds had to come from behind at Elland Road after Leicester took the lead, but Farke’s men were able to hold the leaders to just one goal on the night.
After the game, Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross casted his judgement on Rodon’s display: ‘By far his most difficult performance of the season. Leicester, for obvious reasons, were always going to ask more questions than anyone else and Rodon was on the rack for much of the evening. Not all his own doing as he had to cover a lot, but calmness on and off the ball wasn’t there,’ he said as he handed Rodon a 6/10 rating.

Joe Rodon’s Tottenham future

Since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at Tottenham, it has been made apparent that defensive improvements are on the radar.
Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin have already been brought through the doors and Eric Dier has been sent away to Bayern Munich as his contract nears its end.
This has to bring serious question marks over the future of Rodon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He will return to Hotspur Way in the summer with just one year remaining on his contract with the Lilywhites and serious speculation over his future.
It has already been suggested Spurs could potentially even turn a profit on the Welshman this summer following his impressive loan with Leeds.
Rodon did not feature under Postecoglou before leaving on loan and perhaps that is the most telling sign of all.
