With the January transfer window now on the horizon, Tottenham Hotspur may well be looking at bringing in reinforcements.
Spurs could certainly do with strengthening their ranks in wake of a mixed season in which injuries and a lack of strength in depth has cost them.
A report has begun doing the rounds claiming Tottenham are looking at a versatile Premier League full-back whose contract expires at the end of the season.
However, Spurs fans are not impressed by links with said player, saying he’s too injury-prone and would not be able to handle Ange Postecoglou’s style of play.

Tottenham set sights on Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey
The player in question is Tariq Lamptey, who plies his trade for Brighton & Hove Albion and represents Ghana at international level.
It has been reported that Tottenham are exploring a move for Lamptey, with Everton also said to be in pursuit.
Lamptey has made 106 appearances for the Seagulls and can play at right-back, right-wing-back, and even left-back.
His versatility, along with Pedro Porro’s inconsistent form, has led Postecoglou to cast an eye on the Brighton ace, added the report.
And with Lamptey’s contract expiring next summer, Brighton could be tempted to cash in on him to avoid losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
Tottenham fans not impressed with Lamptey transfer speculation
However, Tottenham fans are concerned about Lamptey’s injury history, in particular the hamstring issues he has suffered in the past.
Considering Martin Keown has urged Spurs to adjust for Micky van de Ven in wake of his latest hamstring issues, the worry is that Lamptey would struggle to cope under Postecoglou.
Some supporters also feel Spurs have missed the boat for the full-back and should have gone for him a few years ago, as per reports doing the rounds at the time.
Lamptey has made just four appearances for Brighton this season, and his Premier League game time has been limited to a 10-minute cameo against Wolves.
However, he has managed to register one goal and one assist in those 188 minutes of game time.
