Manchester City star Jack Grealish has reacted to James Maddison’s latest display for England on Monday night.
The Tottenham Hotspur star faces a battle to make Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad for the Euros in Germany.
It’s no secret that James Maddison endured a difficult second half of the last season after returning from an ankle injury in January.
Meanwhile, Tottenham target Eberechi Eze starred for Crystal Palace last term and earned his first start for England last night.
Maddison got 30 minutes under his belt in the 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina as he replaced goalscorer Cole Palmer in the second half.

The Spurs star was heavily involved after his introduction, with England netting twice in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Following his seventh cap for the Three Lions, Jack Grealish has sent him a message on social media.

Grealish reacts to Maddison’s latest England display
Maddison took to Instagram after a bright display off the bench for England on Monday evening.
He wrote: “International nights up north.”
The midfielder posted several pictures of himself in action, including one alongside former Tottenham star Harry Kane.
It led to Grealish leaving a comment beneath the post after the City winger also impressed with a positive cameo display.

Maddison’s stats for England vs Bosnia and Herzegovina
Despite only playing for the final 30 minutes, Maddison picked up a 7.2 match rating from Sofascore.
The 27-year-old played a key role in England’s third goal of the night as his cut-back was met by Jarrod Bowen, whose effort was blocked by Ezri Konsa before Kane made no mistake with the rebound.

Maddison’s form for Spurs improved in the last three games of the season as he racked up two assists before scoring in the post-season friendly against Newcastle.
It would appear that he has carried this form into the England camp ahead of the Euros and the numbers reflect what was a bright display at St James’ Park last night.
- 29 minutes played
- 38 touches
- 22/25 passes completed
- 3 key passes
- 1 big chance created
- 3/4 accurate crosses
- 3/4 ground duels won
