Brentford striker Neal Maupay has aimed a fresh dig at Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison after the duo clashed last month.
James Maddison and Neal Maupay were involved in a back-and-forth in Tottenham’s 3-2 win over the Bees on January 31.
Maupay opened the scoring early in the game and replicated Maddison’s ‘darts’ celebration, which led to the duo clashing before the game restarted.

But it didn’t end there as Maddison mocked Maupay on social media after saying the striker copied his celebration because he ‘doesn’t score enough of his own’.
The Frenchman responded in kind on Instagram and wrote: “More goals and less relegations in my career than James Maddison.”
Now, Maupay has once again taken a dig at the Spurs star and claims he ‘took it really personally’.
Maupay aims fresh dig at Maddison
Speaking to The Times, Maupay reflected on his clash with Maddison in a recent interview.
“He took it really personally, it’s funny,” he said. “I threw a dart and he got so offended he posted my picture on his Instagram.
“But if I give a little something, I have got to be able to take it as well.”

Maupay received plenty of backlash after last month’s game, with Chris Sutton labelling the striker an ‘idiot’.
He’s gained a reputation as one of the Premier League’s biggest wind-up merchants and it’s easy to understand why that’s the case.
Nevertheless, it’s surprising to hear Maupay still talking about his ‘rivalry’ with Maddison.
The game took place nearly three weeks ago now and you’d have thought that both players would have moved on by now.
We also had the last laugh on the day as Ange Postecoglou’s side recovered from going 1-0 down to secure a victory.
Our players made sure to replicate Maddison’s celebration too as they hit back at the B Bees man.
