‘Incredible’ Tottenham 18-year-old has already been tipped to become better than Dejan Kulusevski

Tottenham Hotspur have been told they have an 18-year-old prospect on their hands who’ll become better than Dejan Kulusevski.

Exciting times are ahead for the Lilywhites with numerous youth players showing promise this season across a number of levels.

But it is one of their January signings, Lucas Bergvall, who has now been tipped to become a star at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Although Ange Postecoglou is not able to select the Swede until next season, the signing of the 18-year-old sent shockwaves across the footballing world.

Not only have Spurs landed themselves a seriously exciting prospect for the future, but they were able to beat European giants Barcelona to his signature.

Speaking on the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast, journalist Alasdair Gold has shared details of his conversation with coach Peter Kisfaludy about the 18-year-old.

He said [16:10]: “Wow. Just the way he talks about Lucas Bergvall. He’s worked with so many talented players. He worked, obviously, with Kulusevski as well in the past and he said: ‘I love Kulusevski, but Lucas is going to be better. He’s going to be just incredible’.”

Is Dejan Kulusevski underrated?

Since signing the Swede from Juventus, we have seen the versatile 23-year-old play across a number of positions including in the midfield.

Kulusevski has been hailed for his work ethic under Postecoglou with the forward’s distance covered praised earlier in the campaign.

In the Premier League, Kulusevski has been able to provide a healthy return of seven goal involvements, despite reports suggesting he has been playing through illness for a while now.

And, more recently, he was handed the award as Sweden’s Player of the Year for 2023.

If this is the type of player which Bergvall is going to be better than, well we have a serious talent on our hands.
