Tottenham Hotspur have done pretty well on the young talent front in recent years, signing such prodigies as Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie.

This year along, Spurs have signed Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Yang Min-Hyeok, testament to their great scouting department and their pull in attracting players.

Likewise, Tottenham’s academy has produced plenty of top talents in recent years. Harry Kane is obviously the poster boy, but the likes of Oliver Skipp and Jamie Donley have done well too.

Mikey Moore set to pen new Tottenham contract

The player in question is Mikey Moore and, according to Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic, an agreement has been reached over what is set to be his first professional contract at Spurs.

This is due to be finalised on Sunday, the day of his 17th birthday he is set to receive more money than Tottenham have ever offered a 17-year-old before, added Pitt-Brooke.

Needless to say, Tottenham fans are absolutely buzzing over the news, and some took to X to express their delight.

Huge news indeed. Moore is a generational talent who, at just 16 years old, already looks like he can have a first-team impact.

Sky Sports News journalist Michael Bridge has described the Tottenham talent as “one of England’s most exciting prospects”, as per the Sky Sports website.

Indeed, Ange Postecoglou included Moore in the squad for the pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, and he didn’t just make up the numbers.

Bridge previously told GiveMeSport that Moore is set to be in the first-team picture for Tottenham this season, so it will be exciting to see how he gets on.

With Spurs competing in the Europa League, they have the perfect opportunity for the likes of Moore and Archie Gray to get regular game time this season.
