German media hail Luka Vuskovic’s ‘outstanding’ performance
The German media have hailed Luka Vuskovic’s ‘outstanding’ performance against Wolfsburg as he added to his goal tally.
The teenager was given the responsibility of taking penalties for Hamburg as the Croatian international managed to win two.
His stats from the match are quite remarkable, with Squawka highlighting how he won all 13 of his aerial duels contested during the match, which is the most this season.
He also managed the most touches with 81, completed 17 clearances, made three interceptions and four recoveries.
After the match, the German media were singing his praises for a performance which earned him a Sofascore rating of 9.5.
Hamburger Abendblatt wrote: “HSV’s jack-of-all-trades. He has to defend, win penalties (twice!), and score goals. However, he has Kamil Grabara to thank for his poorly taken penalty going in.
BILD were hugely impressed and wrote: “The young HSV defender Luka Vuskovic (19) impressed with his outstanding performance in the match against Wolfsburg. He also put his club on the path to victory in the 2-1 win in Wolfsburg.”

Spurs will be delighted with his progress; however, they will also be kicking themselves, knowing full well he could be helping their survival bid right now.
Tottenham made it clear they wanted to keep Vuskovic next season, but that could become almost impossible if they are in the second division.
