Gary Lineker has reacted to ‘worrying’ news that Harry Kane has picked up an ankle injury at Bayern Munich now.
The former Tottenham striker continues to find the back of the net in Munich and bagged his 31st Bundesliga goal on Saturday.
Harry Kane has now scored 37 times in 35 games since leaving Hotspur Way last summer. Bayern have also been drawn against Spurs’ north London rivals, Arsenal, in the Champions League.
But ahead of the first leg at the Emirates Stadium next month, Kane picked up an ankle injury during a 5-2 win at Darmstadt over the weekend.

Lineker on ‘worrying’ Kane news
Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Lineker discussed Kane’s recent injury setback.
“A worrying moment for Harry Kane,” the former Tottenham man said. “I think he collided with the post, twisted his ankle late in Bayern’s victory.
“He’d already scored a goal, obviously, but he’s going to come to the England squad where he will get treated and they will look at it. I think that probably suggests it’s not too serious, hopefully.”

Fortunately for Kane, the injury doesn’t look to be a serious one as the former Spurs star has linked up with the England squad.
Indeed, Bayern announced on Sunday that Kane has picked up an injury to his left ankle and will be assessed by England’s medical team.
Whether or not he will be available for selection in the games against Brazil and Belgium remains unclear.
But Spurs fans will certainly be hoping to see Kane back in action ahead of Bayern’s quarter-final clash against Arsenal next month.
The England captain boasts an exceptional record against our rivals, having netted 14 times in 16 north London derbies for Spurs.
It will be bittersweet to see Kane facing Arsenal for a different team but should he help the German giants eliminate our rivals, it would certainly soften the blow.
