Tottenham Hotspur have some fantastic players this season.
The likes of Son Heung-Min, James Maddison and Cristian Romero have all been incredible – but the season’s surprise performer must be Destiny Udogie.
The 21-year-old Italian was trusted by Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff to be a regular starter for Tottenham, despite having no Premier League experience.
They’ve been greatly rewarded, and now it appears this is going to be reciprocated in Udogie’s favour – with a new long-term deal being put in place.

Destiny Udogie new Tottenham Hotspur deal
Fabrizio Romano took to X this morning to give the lowdown on a new deal for the Tottenham Hotspur defender. His post read:
‘EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham reach an agreement with Destiny Udogie on a new long-term deal for the Italian fullback.‘
‘Club sources confirm the deal is in place and sealed — understand it’s all done. Spurs are very happy with Udogie — salary rise agreed.’
A fantastic 24 hours for the young man, who scored his first goal in white yesterday against Newcastle. Great news for Udogie, and more importantly, for Spurs fans.
Destiny Udogie has finally solved recurring Spurs issue
Udogie finally looks like a competent left-back who can play for years to come for Tottenham Hotspur.
The left-hand side of defence has seriously been a problematic position for Spurs over the years. They haven’t had anyone who has made the position their own since Danny Rose.
Udogie has shown he can do just that, but more so, for years to come. At just 21, the world is his oyster and best believe he’s just getting started.
Tottenham are very lucky to have Destiny Udogie, and he’ll continue to go from strength to strength at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
