Tottenham Hotspur have a new manager in tow.

Indeed, Igor Tudor has been hired as Spurs’ new interim manager just days after Thomas Frank was removed from his post.

Tottenham have acted quickly as they are staring a relegation battle in the face, and Tudor is certainly an interesting appointment.

The Croatian has no Premier League experience, but, intriguingly, he does have a lot of experience over in Italy.

We’ve seen Tottenham look to Serie A on a number of occasions in recent times due to their Italian connection via Fabio Paratici, and, intriguingly, Paratici is known to be a fan of Tudor.

Fabio Paratici’s past Igor Tudor comments

Back in November, Igor Tudor was fired by Juventus, and, at the time, Paratici went on the record to hail the former Juve boss.

Indeed, Paratici noted that he is indeed fond of Tudor, expressing his sympathy towards him.

“I’m very fond of Igor Tudor and I’m very sorry for him, who deserved this chance, coming to Juventus after having had important and difficult experiences. I feel sorry for Juventus and Igor,” Paratici said.

Fabio Paratici may still have a voice at Tottenham

Fabio Paratici officially left Spurs at the end of the January transfer window, but the appointment of Tudor does beg the question as to whether or not Paratici still has a voice at Spurs.

Paratici may not officially work for Spurs, but that was the case during his FIFA ban and he was still pulling the strings at Tottenham according to Ben Jacobs.

“Yeah, Paratici is pulling the strings. It’s as simple as that,” Jacobs said during Paratici’s ban.

“So he’s still heavily involved. Call it what you will, a de facto sporting director, a consultant.

“The ban obviously changed the title and the dynamic, but he’s still there and involved.”

Of course, there’s no official signal that Paratici does have any involvement at Spurs anymore, but given his links to Tudor and ENIC, don’t be shocked if it turns out he was a conduit in getting this deal done.
