Destiny Udogie has become a star at Tottenham since breaking into the first-team, so here’s a look at everything you need to know about the defender.

Tottenham have unearthed another gem in landing Destiny Udogie from Italian side Udinese in 2022. The full-back joined for just £15million, spending another campaign on loan before returning to north London to feature for the first-team.

There were plenty of question marks over the youngster and whether he would be able to fit into the Premier League. Within just a few games, Udogie proved himself with a style that suited him under Ange Postecoglou.

Destiny Udogie age and height

Destiny Udogie was born on 28 November, 2001, making him currently 21-years-old. The defender was born in Verona, Italy, leading to his representation of the national team on both the youth scene and in the first-team.

Udogie is tall for a defender, coming in at a height of six feet and two inches, adding great stature to his skillset.

Destiny Udogie joined Tottenham in August 2022, with the initial fee coming in at £15million for his services from Udinese. The youngster returned to the club for a year, before re-joining Spurs for the rest of his contract.

Destiny Udogie is a left-back, but his playing style would suggest at times that he can play anywhere on the pitch. The defender is an excellent ball carrier, often beating defenders and driving into space where possible.

While the wing may seem the obvious place for him to do that, Udogie will often tuck into midfield or crash into the box for opportunities. It has allowed him to become a potent threat when it comes to goal scoring and chance creation.

Destiny Udogie has shown incredible pace since moving to the Premier League, hitting the heights for top speed. According to the Premier League, the Italian has been the quickest defender at Tottenham so far this season.

A top speed of 34.68 kilometres per hour ranks Udogie at the top, even ahead of rapid centre-back Micky van de Ven.

According to reports on Tottenham wages, Destiny Udogie is only the 14th highest earner currently at the club. The defender has a contract until June, 2030, with a weekly wage of £75,000-per-week, resulting in a salary of £3,900,000-per-annum.
