Tottenham Hotspur are potentially going to see a number of their players departing this summer to represent their nations in Euro 2024.
Ange Postecoglou‘s first season as the Tottenham manager ended with a fifth-placed finish and qualification for next season’s Europa League.
A turbulent campaign riddled with injuries will now see a number of players head off on international duty ahead of their pre-season tour of Asia.
It has just been a matter of days since Tottenham landed back in the country following their post-season trip to Melbourne, Australia.
However, some of the players will have to think about packing their suitcases again over the coming days with the provisional squads being announced.
With final cuts still to be made ahead of the tournament, The Spurs News has taken a look at the players who have made the provisional squads so far.

James Maddison – England
Summer signing James Maddison has made the call-up for Gareth Southgate’s provisional England side despite having a difficult second half of the season.
Maddison picked up a serious ankle injury in that game against Chelsea last year and he has taken a while to find his feet again in Postecoglou’s side.
The final few games of the campaign saw Maddison show glimpses of the form Spurs fans know he can show – including in the friendly in Australia.
Whether or not Maddison makes the final cut to travel to Germany is another matter.
Guglielmo Vicario – Italy
After joining in the summer from Empoli, not many fans may have known what to expect from Guglielmo Vicario.
But he has been one of the signings of the season having proven himself to be the perfect long-term successor for Hugo Lloris.
And he has now been called up to Italy’s provisional side after making his debut for his nation earlier in the year in a friendly against Ecuador.

Micky van de Ven – The Netherlands
Another sensational summer signing, Micky van de Ven has earned himself a call-up to the Netherlands’ provisional side.
Van de Ven has proven himself to be one of the Premier League’s best defenders with his extraordinary pace providing him a major advantage over most centre-backs.
Now, he could find himself lining up alongside Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk if he is able to beat Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt to a spot in the starting XI.
Radu Dragusin – Romania
Despite not receiving a huge number of minutes since landing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January, Radu Dragusin will be representing Romania.
Like Maddison, Dragusin ended his campaign in good form after being given the chance to play from the start alongside Cristian Romero.
The Romanian even shined against Newcastle during the friendly in Melbourne following the conclusion of the Premier League campaign.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – Denmark
Whether Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is still a Spurs player come the start of the new campaign is a major doubt, however, the Dane is expected to play at the Euros for his nation.
The 28-year-old has not played a great deal of football this season following Postecoglou’s arrival last summer and that has contributed to him being named the club’s biggest underperformer on the 2022/23 campaign.
