Andy Brassell has delivered a verdict on Igor Tudor taking over the reins from Thomas Frank at Tottenham.

Throughout his tenure, Frank failed to inspire the Spurs players and was eventually sacked after the 2-1 loss to Newcastle.

Tottenham then hired Tudor to become the interim manager until the end of the season.

Andy Brassell claims Igor Tudor wants to play front-foot football

Brassell, a European football expert, has claimed that the Croatian wants to play attacking football and would likely aim to replicate that at Spurs.

He admits that it is in the club ethos and the former Juventus boss would look to abide by it and excite the fans.

In his view, the club’s appointment of Tudor is great news for the fans, and that he has the players in the side to deliver his style of football.

He said: “You know he wants to play on the front foot.

“I think it’s great news for Spurs fans who really want to see that. They want to see their team be brave.

“It’s in the motto, isn’t it? You want to see that sort of front-foot sort of football.

“He’s got a lot of players who can do it as well. I think he is realistic and he’s spoken about this already.”

Tottenham fans have made it clear what they want from Tudor

More than attacking football, what Spurs fans will want from Tudor is the players responding to the manager.

Frank never had the players buy into his beliefs, and that primarily is what led to his sacking.

Tudor has impressed with his interviews, but managing in the Premier League is an entirely different ball game.

Fans will be excited to see a change, but if they do not see a sudden upturn in performances and results, the atmosphere could once again turn sour.

What will help the Croatian is the fact that the bar has been set pretty low by his predecessor.

A good result against Arsenal will go a long way towards winning him goodwill with the fanbase.
