It’s hard to pinpoint what Tottenham need to do to get things right on the pitch.

For many years, the fan base felt as though Daniel Levy was the man holding the club back, but this season, the appointment of Thomas Frank hasn’t exactly lit any fires just yet.

Ange Postecoglou was a relatively unknown manager who played eye-catching football for a little while when he first came in, and he did manage to win the club a major trophy by winning the Europa League.

Tottenham have also tried the world-class route with legendary managers Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte each having a crack at the job.

Now, former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has made quite the claim about Conte, and it would appear that it’s a mystery he never quite got things right at Tottenham.

Eden Hazard thinks Tottenham sacked an ‘incredible’ manager

Conte only lasted a couple of years at Tottenham but Hazard was a huge fan of the Italian head coach.

As someone who has managed at Chelsea, Juventus and Inter before taking the Tottenham job it was a bit of a mystery that he couldn’t get it right in North London.

Since leaving Tottenham, Conte has become an Italian champion with Napoli and Hazard is a huge fan.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Antonio was incredible; he made us to endless repetitions.

“I used to watch Serie A a lot more, I didn’t want to miss Mertens and Nainggolan’s performances.

“Now I watch a little less, but I’m curious to see Kevin back from injury.

“Under Conte, they can have fun, but over the last five years, Inter have proven to be the strongest team in Italy.”

What Hazard said about Mourinho

Another world-class boss who ended up leaving Tottenham without success was Mourinho, and Hazard also worked under him at Chelsea.

He didn’t go into quite as much detail on the Portuguese manager, but he said on Mourinho: “He’s not Italian, but you know him well; Mourinho, an extraordinary communicator. The way he thinks and conveys his thoughts to the players is amazing.”

Frank is now the man tasked with ensuring Tottenham kick on in the coming months.

If things don’t work out for the Danish incumbent, it’s hard to grasp what might come next for the football club and which avenue they will turn down next.
