Cristian Romero and Pedro Porro have both sent out strong messages to Tottenham Hotspur supporters following the team’s defeat to Ipswich Town.
Spurs suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Ipswich as they were beaten 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will head into the international break all the way down in tenth.
A win could have moved Ange Postecoglou’s team as high as third, however, instead the Tractor Boys recorded their first Premier League win since 2002.
The North London club have now lost five of their first 11 matches this campaign and will have to wait two weeks to respond with another international break now upon us.

Romero and Porro send strong messages to Tottenham fans
Romero and Porro have both insisted that now is the time for Tottenham to stick together following a tricky defeat at the hands of Ipswich.
The defensive duo also claimed that Spurs would come back stronger from yet another loss as they now both head away for international duty.
Romero is fuming that Tottenham missed the chance to go third and wrote on his Instagram: “Thanks to the fans for the respect always and always being there. Today we wasted another opportunity. A moment that we will overcome and come back stronger all together.”
Meanwhile, Porro believes the team must assess their levels of effort, stating on his Instagram: “As a team, we have to take responsibility for these results. We must come together to be better and will now look forward to coming back stronger after the break.
“The effort you put into supporting us must be reflected in our effort on the pitch and it is something we will never take for granted. See you after the break.”
Romero and Porro both have shockers vs Ipswich
Romero and Porro were both well off against Ipswich as the two goals scored by the visitors came from the right side of Spurs’ defence.
The first goal saw the Spaniard just stand off Sammie Szmodics at the back post and allow the forward the freedom to bicycle kick the ball past Guglielmo Vicario.
Ipswich’s second was Porro getting caught in two minds whether to close down the ball or to stick with his man, he ended up getting caught in between and the move resulted in Radu Dragusin turning the ball into his own net.
The Tottenham duo managed to lose possession a combined 39 times, which is quite alarming for two players who are usually so good with the ball.

Postecoglou still has so much work to do in sorting his defence and there will now be big question marks over how poor Porro has been defensively.
