Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has shed some light on the rigorous regime put in place by manager Juande Ramos.
Ramos only lasted a year at the helm at White Hart Lane, but it is apparent he left the club with some lasting memories.
But it seems not all of them were positive memories for the players despite their League Cup triumph at Wembley in 2008.

Darren Bent’s Juande Ramos story
The TalkSPORT pundit spent two years in north London and was able to rack up 79 appearances for the Lilywhites.
And 38 of those appearances came under the Spaniard where he returned 10 goals and provided two assists.
However, Bent recalled some concerning memories about the former Spurs manager including how a player collapsed due to his training regime.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Bent stated the changes Ramos made at the Spurs training lodge which saw one player hospitalised. He said: “Juande came in and he changed it drastically; the food, the requirements, your body fat, the weight of you. And it was that tough when he first came to do it a player – I won’t mention his name – ended up on a drip because he had to lose that much weight so quickly his body just weren’t used to it.”
“But Juande just came in and went fine margins, changed the whole food; one meat option, one fish option. [He] Collapsed, he just had nothing left. It was crazy!”

Juande Ramos’ Tottenham trophy
Ramos was replaced in 2008 with Spurs sat rock bottom of the Premier League table in the back end of October.
Harry Redknapp replaced Ramos and it was under the Englishman where Spurs made their push for Champions League football in the coming years.
However, there is some irony in the fact the man who had Spurs rock bottom in October was also the last manager to get his hands on silverware with the club.
Thinking of all the big names which Spurs have had in the dugout since, Jose Mourinho, Maurcio Pochettino and Antonio Conte, and yet none were able to get Spurs over the line.
The wait for a trophy has now ticked over to 16 years with Spurs out of the FA Cup and suffered an early exit in the Carabao Cup.
