Tottenham Hotspur are set to return to Premier League action on Saturday evening when they take on reigning champions Manchester City.
Spurs have shown they can beat anyone on their day, having already triumphed over Pep Guardiola’s side in the Carabao Cup.
However, Tottenham also have some consistency issues to sort out, having gone into the international break on the back of a shock loss to Ipswich Town.
On Thursday, Ange Postecoglou delivered a fitness update on Spurs defender Micky van de Ven, who is currently out with a hamstring injury.

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven hopefully back by mid-December
Postecoglou, speaking to Sky Sports News, said Van de Ven still has a long way to go before he’s available once again.
The Tottenham boss believes the Dutchman should be fully back and available for selection by mid-December.
“Micky is still a good couple of weeks away,” he said, as transcribed by BBC Sport. “He is out on the grass and he’s training but he’s still a couple of weeks away.
“We’re hoping by the middle of December, he’s back and involved and playing.”
Van de Ven was forced off with his third hamstring injury in less than 12 months after just 14 minutes of the Carabao Cup win over Manchester City.
Cristian Romero doubtful for Manchester City trip
Postecoglou also provided an update on Cristian Romero, who is now a doubt after coming off early for Argentina in their game against Paraguay.
Romero managed to recover from a toe injury to feature against Ipswich before heading out to represent the world champions.
However, he had to withdraw early from the Argentina camp, and Postecoglou confirmed that he’s not at 100 percent.
On a brighter note, however, the Tottenham boss confirmed that everyone else who was involved for their countries has come through unscathed.
“I’m really happy for Cristian and his wife on the birth of their baby girl. He’s still not 100 percent, he’s a doubt for the weekend,” Postecoglou said.
“Everyone else through internationals has got through it well.”
