🤔 SAFETY or RELEGATION: Will Roberto De Zerbi keep Tottenham in the Premier League?
Ange Postecoglou believes Roberto De Zerbi is a top manager
Postecoglou has waxed lyrical over De Zerbi’s credentials and believes that the Italian is a top manager.
The Australian saw signs of Tottenham showing improvement against Brighton, but they failed to get the job done.
The Seagulls held them to a 2-2 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which at the time meant that De Zerbi was still winless at his new club.
He managed to change that when the Lilywhites beat a bottom-placed Wolves side by a 1-0 scoreline.
However, the North London outfit still find themselves in the relegation zone as West Ham beat Everton 2-1.

Speaking about De Zerbi on TNT Sports, Postecoglou said: “You look at the recent results, see the last time Forest obviously doing super well against Sunderland.
“And it’s a must-win game for them. They have to.
“For a number of reasons is that you can look at the other teams’ results that they’re fighting with, but they have to win. They have to start winning.
“Look, Roberto’s a top manager. And I thought there were signs last week of maybe getting some belief and confidence, but they didn’t get the win.”
Who should be Roberto De Zerbi’s first Tottenham signing?
What De Zerbi needs to do to keep Tottenham in the Premier League
De Zerbi knows what is at stake and he is aware that his team needs to go on a run to get the job done and stay in the Premier League.
A back four is what suits this current crop of Tottenham players, and he has to continue playing that system.
When the Lilywhites have played with wing-backs, they have been overrun in midfield, and that is not something the Italian would want.
De Zerbi also needs to fix the leaky defence, and the fact that his side managed to keep a clean sheet against Wolves will give them some confidence going into the next few games.
He also needs to get the most out of the likes of Xavi Simons, as the Dutchman is their main creative outlet and can make a difference in the final third.
