Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been left delighted by news which has now been shared by the club.
Changes have been promised at Tottenham this summer by Ange Postecoglou following the Australian’s first season in charge.
Postecoglou has admitted there will be a considerable number of players departing Tottenham this summer as he looks to really make this side his own.
Daniel Levy has already sanctioned the departure of several players with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon being allowed to walk.
But it has not just been change on the pitch with Tottenham also seeing their assistant Chris Davies leave for Birmingham City.
Following the latest news to come out of the club, it does seem as if Postecoglou is still pleased with the direction being taken this summer.
Ange Postecoglou delighted by Tottenham appointment
The Lilywhites have certainly seen some change at Hotspur Way over recent weeks with a stream of departing players followed by coaching exits.
Davies was one of the appointments made last summer following Postecoglou’s arrival from Celtic.
But the lure of his first opportunity as a manager has seen him depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium despite it being the step down to League One.
On the back of Davies’ departure, Spurs have now announced Matt Wells will be promoted from within the club to replace the now Birmingham City manager.

Speaking to the club’s website, Postecoglou has revealed his delight with the club’s decision to promote Wells to assistant manager.
“I’m delighted that Matt has been appointed Senior Assistant Coach,” said Postecoglou.
“He’s an outstanding young coach who has a great work ethic and attention to detail. He thoroughly deserves this opportunity.”
Change at Tottenham but no signings yet
Tottenham kicked off the summer by keeping Timo Werner around on a season-long loan deal from RB Leipzig.
However, Spurs are yet to announce any permanent arrivals this summer with the German the only player coming through the doors so far.
This summer’s international tournaments may well be providing a stumbling block when it comes to signing players but Spurs will have wanted to get off to a quick start in the market.
But Spurs have their targets and have made good headway in terms of seeing players leave the club, but even those departures have not seen the club bring in any money.
There is still a lot of work to be done in north London.
