Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman has shed some light on what Jose Mourinho was like to work with.
The north London side find themselves in their best position for a number of years under Ange Postecoglou.
Although they finished fourth under Antonio Conte, Spurs now look like a side set up for long-term success under the Australian.

Whiteman hails Jose Mourinho
Prior to Conte’s arrival, Jose Mourinho was at the helm at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but it was not a time the fans look back on fondly.
One man who can look back on Mourinho’s time with good memories is the Spurs goalkeeper, Whiteman.
The 25-year-old’s only appearance for Spurs came in the Europa League back in 2020 against Ludogorets Razgrad.
Speaking on the Off The Shelf podcast, the Englishman looked back on his debut which came under the Portuguese manager. He said: “Yeah, he’s a man I have a lot of respect for. You know, look I feel like that’s the thing people have opinions about people, but training ground wise, he was he was he was great with everyone.”

Jose Mourinho trophies
Unfortunately for Spurs, their trophy record is something which will follow them around as Mourinho failed to lift silverware in north London.
His spell at Tottenham marks the only club the Portuguese boss has managed without getting his hands on a trophy.
Mourinho was sacked by Daniel Levy shortly before Spurs made the short trip to Wembley for their Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
With Ryan Mason in the dugout, Spurs were unable to get over the line and lost 1-0 to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Something which Mourinho has never let slide, he said: “I’ve won 25 and a half trophies…the half is the final I didn’t play with Spurs.”
Although he lifted the Europa Conference League with Roma, he now finds himself out of a job again and working the media to suggest he’s on the market.
Mourinho may have the history of trophies, but having a manager like Postecoglou at the helm has Spurs fans feeling closer to silverware than they have been in years.
