Tottenham Hotspur have a host of quality youngsters in their ranks who could get a decent amount of game time in the coming months.
With Spurs in the Europa League this season, Ange Postecoglou will need to manage his resources so his players can compete on four fronts.
Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear, two of Tottenham’s top academy stars, could be in line to feature for Tottenham between now and the New Year.
Spurs have another top academy talent in Alfie Dorrington, but he has been out for a while now, so fans have been asking when he’s expected to return.
Alasdair Gold has now answered this question in his latest fan Q&A on football.london, and it’s a positive update with regards to the 19-year-old.

Alfie Dorrington set to be eased back into action over the coming weeks
Gold replied to a fan who asked him when Dorrington could be returning to action, as Spurs are a bit short of numbers at the back, particularly in the Europa League.
“Alfie suffered two hamstring injuries last season that hampered his development,” began Gold.
“He’s only just returned to training following the second injury in May, which required surgery, and is yet to play this season.
“He is expected to be gradually introduced back into matches as this month progresses before hitting his stride again in October as the games come thick and fast.
“He may well end up getting minutes in Europe with the lack of cover in the months ahead.”
Great news
Dorrington has been in and around the first-team picture at Tottenham over the past 12 months.
Last season, Postecoglou called him up to numerous first-team training sessions and included him in Premier League matchday squads.
It’s a shame that he’s been on the sidelines for so long, but it’s also great to hear he’s back in training and should be back in action in the coming weeks.
