Tottenham Hotspur are now said to have an academy prospect who is showing similar characteristics to what Mousa Dembele possessed.
It is an exciting time to be a part of Tottenham‘s academy system with the club developing a number of seriously impressive talents.
Wayne Burnett’s U21s have recently got their hands on the Premier League 2 trophy with several impressive individual displays.
Players like Will Lankshear and Jamie Donley have stood out in the U21s side this season and then there has been 16-year-old Mikey Moore who is making a name for himself in the U18s.
Clearly, Spurs have a number of talents who could be working their way towards a call-up to Ange Postecoglou‘s first team over the coming months.
Journalist Alasdair Gold has now suggested there is one player in the academy who possesses similarities to the former Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele.

Tottenham have youngster who is similar to Mousa Dembele
Midfield has been an area which has provided Postecoglou with a number of headaches over the course of the 2023/24 campaign.
Yves Bissouma‘s season started off in impressive style, but the second half of the campaign saw Bissouma sharply become Tottenham’s biggest underperformer.
And then there are the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur who also struggled to nail down consistent form over the season.
Although Postecoglou is looking to bring in a new midfielder to Tottenham this summer, it seems there is one individual in their academy who could provide a good option in what is going to be a much busier campaign.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold has been speaking about 18-year-old midfielder Tyrese Hall who has been impressing Postecoglou recently.
“He looked very good in Melbourne, very composed and calm. And actually he was very good on Sunday [U21s final],” Gold said.
“He spent the first half of the season with the U18s. Second half of the season, from just about the turn of the year, with Wayne Burnett’s U21s. They’ve brought him up, and he’s looked good.
“On Sunday, again, very calm on the ball. He’s very good at using his body to turn and twist. Little bit Mousa Dembele-esque in terms of being aware of what’s around him and how to use his body to twist and turn and get into pockets of space.”
Tyrese Hall may need patience like Mikey Moore
It seems Spurs have a number of young talents who could be on the cusp of making the step up to Postecoglou’s first side.
However, like Moore, it has to be remembered that Hall is still an extremely young player who has not even played a full season at U21 level.
The pre-season tour of Asia is going to allow Postecoglou to cast a closer eye on some of the club’s exciting talent with several of his players potentially missing due to international duty.
Tottenham are looking to sign a new midfielder this summer and Conor Gallagher is of interest.
With this in mind, opportunities during the season may be extremely limited as Postecoglou aims for improvement on this season’s fifth-placed finish.
Tottenham’s academy director has already called for patience with Mikey Moore and this is likely going to be the case for Hall, too.
