Tottenham are now discussing a move for Marco Silva

Tottenham are now discussing a move for Marco Silva as they step up their plans to replace Igor Tudor as manager, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Discussions over moving for the Fulham boss are taking place internally now, but he certainly seems to be one of the names on the list.

The 48-year-old has managed Everton, Hull and Fulham in the Premier League, winning 88 of his 240 matches in the English top flight.

The North London club are making plans for both now and in the summer, with a permanent appointment most likely to follow the season.

Just one point from five Premier League matches has left Tudor under immense pressure to keep his job as interim boss.

The North London club were well beaten by Nottingham Forest at home over the weekend, leaving them in big trouble of entering the bottom three.

Meanwhile, Silva and De Zerbi are both unlikely to join, whilst Spurs sit on the brink of relegation from the Premier League.

In terms of options until the end of the season, Tottenham are unlikely to appoint Tim Sherwood or Harry Redknapp, according to Lyall Thomas.

Sherwood and Redknapp have both said they would take the Spurs job, but the North London club are not keen on going down that route.
