The Daily Mail journalist Dominic King has shared what he noticed about Harry Kane after Bayern Munich’s latest defeat.

Harry Kane has enjoyed an exceptional debut campaign in Germany on an individual level. The former Tottenham star has netted a staggering 28 goals in as many games since moving to Munich over the summer.

Kane ultimately moved on over the summer in search of silverware and a fresh challenge. But Bayern currently find themselves five points off the pace in the race for the Bundesliga title.

The current German champions suffered a humbling 3-0 defeat at Leverkusen on Saturday, which took Xabi Alonso’s men five points clear at the top.

And The Daily Mail’s Dominic King claims that Kane looked absolutely devastated after a crushing defeat.

Kane’s reaction to Bayern’s latest defeat

Speaking on It’s All Kicking Off, King drew parallels between Saturday’s defeat and Kane’s lowest moments at Spurs.

“It just struck a chord with me about how he looked in Moscow when England went out of the World Cup finals in 2018,” the journalist said.

“How he looked the following years in Madrid when Tottenham lost the Champions League final. He just looked absolutely bereft.”

Many thought Kane was almost guaranteed silverware after completing a switch to Munich. Bayern have won 11 consecutive league titles but are in danger of missing out to Alonso’s Leverkusen.

The German media have already mentioned the ‘curse of Harry Kane’ after the forward failed to win silverware at Spurs.

But you have to sympathise with our all-time top goalscorer. It was disappointing, to say the least, to see him move on over the summer.

Yet, we certainly feel Kane deserves to end his long wait for silverware after consistently producing goals throughout his career.

Of course, Bayern could yet put a late run together in the league and they also remain in the Champions League.

And despite the fact Kane ultimately decided to leave Spurs behind over the summer, it would be sad to see him miss out on major honours once again this season.
