Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero has been spotted back in training with Argentina after claims the defender had picked up an injury.
Romero put in a brilliant display for Argentina as they picked up a 1-0 win over Ecuador on Friday.
The 24-year-old received high praise from his national team boss Lionel Scaloni, who labelled his display as ‘incredible’ in his post-match press conference.
Romero seems to be building on a positive start to life under Ange Postecoglou. But Spurs fans were hit with some concerning news after Friday’s game as their star defender picked up an injury.

Indeed, Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold confirmed that reports from Argentina suggested Romero has picked up a minor muscle injury.
But it seems the defender has returned to full training ahead of La Albiceleste’s clash against Bolivia on Tuesday.
Romero spotted back in training
Romero can be spotted on Argentina’s official X account as he took part in yesterday’s training session.
The defender was pictured alongside Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez.
Romero has impressed so far this season and has even hit a rich vein of form in front of goal.
Indeed, the centre-back has already netted two goals this season, with his latest coming at Turf Moor with a spectacular effort from range.

The Spurs News View
It’s brilliant to see Romero back in training after he’s been such a key player under Postecoglou this season.
We are also considerably short in terms of options at centre-back after Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez left the club over the summer.
Of course, Eric Dier has also been frozen out by Postecoglou, with youngster Ashley Phillips ahead of him in the pecking order at this moment in time.
But due to the club’s failure to bring in another central defender, it’s fair to say that Postecoglou simply can’t afford an injury to either Romero or Micky van de Ven over the coming weeks.
