Tottenham Hotspur have arrived back from their summer break for the start of their pre-season efforts.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men have made the journey back to Hotspur Way on Saturday where they will be assessed following their summer holidays.

Tottenham‘s 2023/24 campaign provided fans with a lot to look forward to over the coming years under the Australian.

The 58-year-old led Spurs within two points of a place in the Champions League but European football will still return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Daniel Levy has been a busy man over recent weeks in offloading a number of unwanted players from the club.

However, there are still a few players who remain at Spurs despite the club being open to their sale this summer.

£20m player who Spurs want to sell returns for pre-season

Spurs have been able to welcome some new faces to Hotspur Way on Saturday with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray arriving for their first training session.

Timo Werner also made his return to the training facilities as he has secured himself an extended loan stay in north London for the upcoming campaign.

However, Postecoglou could be set for an awkward interaction with some of the players who returned to action at Spurs on Saturday as they make up some of the names on the transfer list.

The club released a video on Saturday morning showing a number of their players returning to start their pre-season efforts.

And among those players, there were a number of players who returned following loan spells away last season.

As well as Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence was one of those players who Tottenham are believed to be looking to move on over the summer.

Having signed back in 2022 for a fee in the region of £20m, Spence has really failed to make an impression on those at the north London club.

How close is Djed Spence to leaving Tottenham?

Spence made the move to Genoa in January on a short-term loan deal which did not include any buy clause.

The right-back joined the Italian side after Spurs negotiated a deal to bring in the Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin.

And the Serie A outfit are believed to be looking at providing Spence with a return move on a permanent basis.

“I speak with Djed every week,” Genoa’s sporting director Marco Ottolini said recently.

“We have created a good environment for him. We are trying to make him feel warm and welcome here, and this will then translate into his performances on the pitch. We want to give him the right conditions to perform.
