Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has revealed that he is keen to stay in north London for a long period of time.
The Senegal star has now returned to action following his journey in the Africa Cup of Nations came to an end in the last couple of weeks.
And he has been speaking about life at Tottenham following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou who has offered him a key role in the side.

Sarr eyeing Tottenham stay
Having signed for the club originally back in 2021 for around £15m, Sarr made his debut just last year under Antonio Conte against Aston Villa.
His integration into the squad was synonymous of the Italian’s lack of trust in the youngsters given he has already almost doubled his Premier League appearances made last season under Postecoglou.
Acting as a reward for his performances and an indication of Tottenham’s faith in his future, Sarr now has a contractual stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2030.
And it is apparent the midfielder is enjoying life in north London now where he has established himself as one of the regulars in the starting XI.
“It’s a great feeling, being part of things here at Tottenham. It has become like a family to me now, so it makes me happy to have renewed my contract with the club. The view is to stay here for as long as possible so I can really express myself on the pitch, enjoy the experience to the full with the fans and push on to win trophies. I try to enjoy each match as it comes. I wanted to make this a great season for us all, and a good one for me,” he said in Saturday’s programme.

Sarr becomes Postecoglou mainstay
Under Postecoglou, Sarr has become one of the mainstays in midfield having racked up 20 appearances in the Premier League alone.
The 21-year-old returned to the fold for the game against Everton but only made the bench.
It did not take Poatecoglou long, however, to return Sarr to the starting XI with the midfielder in from the start on Saturday against Brighton & Hove Albion.
And he certainly returned Postecoglou’s faith in him as he netted the equaliser and his third of the campaign in front of the south stand.
As if it wasn’t clear enough through Postecoglou’s use of the player in the starting XI, the Australian has hailed the Senegalese midfielder for his efforts: “Yeah, brilliant. He’s been great from the moment I arrived. He’s got a great energy about him, but he’s got quality there too,” he said back in August.
It has been really encouraging to see yet another one of Fabio Paratici’s signings pay off and it looks like we may have a real star for the future in Sarr.
