Tottenham face off against Bayern Munich in the first of two pre-season fixtures against the German outfit.

As the Premier League season approaches, Ange Postecoglou and his Spurs side are starting to ramp up their pre-season preparations as they look to build upon an impressive fifth-place finish last time out.

Heading into the last leg of their pre-season tour of Asia, Tottenham now face their toughest test of the summer so far, in the shape of German giants Bayern Munich.

The two sides last met back in 2019 during the Champions League group stage, with Bayern famously thrashing the Lilywhites 7-2, a game that would eventually lead to the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

With that in mind, this is the starting XI we predict Ange Postecoglou to pick for Tottenham’s friendly against Bayern Munich.

Radu Dragusin to return

Tottenham’s dramatic 4-3 win over the K-League XI saw the brief return of Radu Dragusin, who came on as a late second-half substitute.

The defender returned to action following a short break after featuring at this summer’s Euros with Romania.

Having conceded five goals in their last two pre-season fixtures, Dragusin’s comeback will help sure up the leaky Tottenham defence.

Destiny Udogie to possibly feature

Having not featured since April following surgery to his quadricep, Destiny Udogie may return to Spurs action against Bayern Munich.

The Italian returned to Tottenham training this week, which may see him receive a few minutes this weekend.

Jamie Donley however has impressed as a make-shift left-back, so it will be no surprise to see him continue his fine form at full-back and maybe see Udogie come off the bench late on.

Harry Kane to miss Tottenham return

Fans who were hoping to see Harry Kane line up against his boyhood club will be disappointed to hear that the Three Lions skipper is set to miss the clash.

Bayern boss Vincent Kompany recently confirmed Kane will be unavailable for the game as the striker enjoys an extended break following England’s run to the final of Euro 2024.

Eric Dier meanwhile looks set to feature against his former club having joined Bayern from Spurs back in January.
