Tottenham returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a dominant win over West Ham, and The Spurs News have handed out player ratings from the performance.

Thomas Frank’s side beat their 10-men rivals 3-0 at the London Stadium, with Graham Potter’s side collapsing again against a big six side.

Pape Matar Sarr opened the scoring just after half-time, before goals from Lucas Bergvall and Micky Van de Ven put the game beyond doubt.

The boss had the luxury of bringing off a number of his top names in the second half, including Xavi Simons, who got his assist tally up and running with the first goal.

The Spurs News have handed out player ratings for the win which makes it three out of four for Spurs in the league so far this season.

Tottenham player ratings vs West Ham

Guglielmo Vicario: 6/10

Very little to do for Guglielmo Vicario in the London derby, and the Italian will be delighted with their third clean sheet of the campaign.

Pedro Porro: 7/10

Nothing got past Pedro Porro down West Ham’s left, and the Spain international continued to provide an option on the overlap of Kudus.

Cristian Romero: 7/10

Cristian Romero was very unlucky to see his strike disallowed in the first half, but this didn’t take away from his marvellous defensive display.

Assured on the ball and strong in any challenges that were required, this was one of the more comfortable outings he will enjoy this season.

Micky van de Ven: 8/10

A colossal force at the back, Micky van de Ven’s performance showed just how important he is to this side when he is fit.

The priority will surely be making sure the Dutchman is available far more often this season, alongside his Argentine partner.

Djed Spence: 6/10

The newest England international did not have too many opportunities to get forward, with a lot of the play coming down the opposite flank.

Joao Palhinha: 6/10

As has been the case since he joined, Joao Palhinha enjoyed a solid showing without the need for anything spectacular or remarkable.

Pape Matar Sarr: 8/10

Arguably Spurs’ most improved player over the last few months, Pape Matar Sarr continued his rise up the ranks in the Premier League with the opening goal against West Ham.

Lucas Bergvall: 9/10

Nailing down a regular place in midfield for Spurs is what’s on the agenda for Lucas Bergvall this season, and he went about it the right way with an excellent performance against West Ham.

A second half goal and assist brought an end to a fabulous display, and surely a message to Frank that he should be in the side to face Villarreal.

Mohammed Kudus: 7/10

In the face of loud boos every time he touched the ball in front of his former fans, Mohammed Kudus impressed greatly on the right of attack, creating plenty of chances that there was no one able to finish off.

Xavi Simons: 6/10

Xavi Simons registered his first goal contribution for his new side when his corner kick was given the nod of approval by Sarr.

It had actually been a little underwhelming from the Dutchman before the red card, however things got much more comfortable in the second half.

Mathys Tel: 4/10

Very little impact on the game from Mathys Tel, who looked to be struggling for much of the first half with an injury.

If this was the Frenchman’s chance to prove he should be considered for more regular minutes, he failed to take that opportunity.
