Tottenham Hotspur provided the perfect response to their Monday blues as they hammered Everton 4-0 in north London on Saturday.
Spurs were ruthlessly clinical in their win over the hapless Toffees in their 3pm Premier League kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou’s charges opened the scoring in the 14th minute as the returning Yves Bissouma fired home from the edge of the box via the underside of the bar.
Spurs then doubled their lead on 25 minutes as Jordan Pickford’s heavy touch from a back pass allowed Son Heung-min to claim the ball and slot home.
Midway through the second half, Cristian Romero struck on his 100th appearances, rising highest at a corner to nod in off the underside of the bar.
Son then got his brace goal in the 77th minute, firing a simple finish through Pickford’s legs after great work from the marauding Micky van de Ven.

Wilson Odobert makes Tottenham debut
The game saw a debut for Wilson Odobert, who joined Tottenham from Burnley earlier this month.
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham paid £25million up front for Odobert, plus a further £5million in potential add-ons.
He has penned a five-year contract at Spurs, which is set to run until the summer of 2029.
The outlet claimed that Odobert wouldn’t be a starter initially, but this hasn’t proven to be the case as he was named in the starting XI in Tottenham’s second league game.
The 19-year-old did very well indeed on his debut, offering pace and width down the left, getting past opponents and showing some good touches.
Admittedly, he did give the ball away a few times, and one loose pass resulted in Guglielmo Vicario having to make the same.
Nonetheless, no debut is going to be perfect, particularly from such a young player, and all in all, Odobert did well.
Plenty of Tottenham fans are happy with how the Frenchman did, and praised him on social media.
What Tottenham fans have been saying about Wilson Odobert
Spurs building a brilliant team for the future
In recent years, Tottenham have struck gold in the transfer market when it comes to signing great youngsters.
Few knew about the likes of Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr when they first signed for Spurs, but they’re now established first-teamers.
This will likely be the case with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, and on Saturday we saw a very promising performance from another teenage debutant.
Postecoglou is known for having the Midas touch in the market and it’s clear that he’s putting together a team that will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.
