Tottenham fans are finally leaving a match satisfied after a stunning performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
The future of Thomas Frank was the hot topic for discussion ahead of the game but a 2-0 win over the Bundesliga giants has surely earned him a stay of execution.
What’s your immediate reaction after watching Tottenham beat Borussia Dortmund?
Frank’s team are now fifth in the group stage of the competition and the challenge is to take this form into the Premier League fixtures for the remainder of the season.
The game was going so comfortably after goals for Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke, combined with a red card for Daniel Svensson, that Spurs could introduce a youngster into the action from the bench.

Frank might have dropped a clever ploy to get some of his critics off his back during the win over Dortmund.
In throwing a youngster into the action, he will have definitely appeased the fans who love to see the academy utilised and a lot of supporters are saying the same thing about Byfield.
Byfield was introduced for the last half an hour of this contest as he replaced Lucas Bergvall, who did look to be struggling with an injury issue.
Whilst watching his performance, social media was awash with praise and it would appear that the fan base are unanimous that Byfield is set for stardom.

One fan said: “Byfield is the best player in Spurs’ academy, and I strongly believe that. Makes sense why he’s the one relied upon here. He can play across the whole back four. With our injuries all season, we’ve had a ready-made solution there, and he should have had more minutes by now in the Premier League.”
A second fan claimed: “Jun’ai Byfield, btw. Comes on for his senior debut to Dortmund in the UCL at 17 years of age and looked like he belonged there. It’s a big ask to come on for half an hour and contribute towards a clean sheet but he made it look simple. Really hope this performance is the beginning of his senior Spurs career, definitely deserves it.”
A third fan was equally impressed and added: “Special word for Byfield who didn’t look out of place in the CL at 17.”
Finally, another fan loved the player’s performance, saying: “Massive congratulations to Byfield coming on and making his debut in that environment. He’s the best academy player at the football club.”
Having come on at right-back and producing a mature performance, Tottenham’s more established stars will now be on their toes, with Byfield naturally going to want more minutes after this sample size of time on the pitch.
