James Maddison has backed Richarlison to start getting amongst the goals for Tottenham Hotspur after the win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Richarlison is yet to find the back of the net this season after Spurs sold their talisman Harry Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
The Brazilian put in two industrious displays against Brentford and Manchester United without getting a real sniff at goal.
Yet, the 26-year-old certainly had his opportunities yesterday but it was evident he was lacking in confidence.

Richarlison went close with a header at the back post after a brilliant delivery from James Maddison. But his best chance of the game came after a sweeping move up the pitch from Spurs and Maddison was once again the architect.
The Englishman played Richarlison through on goal but the Tottenham forward attempted to take the ball around Neto and couldn’t sort his feet out in time to finish.
Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski both got on the scoresheet to secure another three points for Spurs. But Maddison is backing Richarlison to find his rediscover his confidence in front of goal soon.
Maddison sends message to Richarlison
Richarlison took to Instagram after yesterday’s win on the south coast and posted a picture of himself and Maddison celebrating Tottenham’s opener.
And Maddison replied beneath the post: “Brilliant today brother! Worked your ——– off. Goals will come very soon.”

Richarlison completed a £60 million (Sky Sports) switch to Spurs from Everton last summer but has largely struggled in North London.
He enjoyed a promising start to life in North London as he netted a brace against Marseille in the Champions League.
But the former Everton star managed just one goal in the Premier League over the course of last season.

The Spurs News View
Richarlison certainly boasts the required qualities to lead the line in an Ange Postecoglou side due to his tireless work-rate and runs in behind.
But he will have to up his output if he wants to secure a place in the side on a long-term basis. It’s no secret that Tottenham could be on the lookout for a striker to come in and replace Harry Kane.
While it’s still early days, Richarlison was visibly frustrated at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday and was replaced by Ivan Perisic on the hour mark.
